A standing visit covers the whole kitchen, every bathroom, the bedrooms, the living areas, and the halls and stairs in between. Floors vacuumed and mopped, surfaces wiped, glass done, beds made, trash out. In a Florida house it also means the ceiling fans every visit rather than occasionally, because they run year round and they throw dust onto everything below them.
What a standing maid visit covers

Is maid service different from house cleaning?
No difference at all on our side. Both phrases describe the same standing visit at the same flat price, and people simply search for whichever one they grew up saying. The only variable is how much the first clean has to catch up, and that is decided at the walkthrough.
Does someone need to be home when you come?
No. Most clients leave a gate code and a door code and go about their day. If you want to be there the first time to walk the rooms together, that works too and it usually makes the written list more accurate.
How often do most people book?
Every other week is the most common choice here, weekly for busy households with kids or pets, monthly for people who keep up in between. You can change the frequency any time, in a text, with nothing to cancel in writing.
